Colon Spasms produce an INTERNAL odor sensation

Has anyone else experienced this?
When colon is in spasm, or gas is trapped in the colon, there is an odor sensation that is internal, it is not exhaled so others can smell it.
From all I've read it seems to be from increased permeability in the intestine that allows gasses to move through the intestinal wall and be carried by blood to liver, lungs, etc.
Anybody have any experiences, more information???

I'm confused - if the odor is internal, how do you know it even exists?

because it's in my head, and it comes with a big bout of nausea and constipation, and a bit of a headache. I get the sensation of walking through Yellowstone on a really stinky day, or the smell of rotting poop.
It's so gross it's nearly made me throw up. It's only happened a few times but EW!

but it's a very strong smell that only you can smell. I woke from a deep sleep with it once, gagging because I thought my baby had had a rancid poop. After smelling everyhthing around me, i realized EVERYTHING smelled like it. It's maybe internal toxicity.
