Also be sure that you're not restricting sodium/salt too much, particularly if you have low blood pressure. I've always had bloating, but the worst was when I had low-salt everything *and* drank lots of cold water. Now, I'm sure to eat pickles and pretzels when it's warm weather and I feel a lot better.
Other observations: 1. Why a gallon of water? Try cutting back and seeing how you feel, particularly if you're not counting teas and soups as part of your water ration.
2. Yoga is very good, particularly wind-relieving and child poses. If you're too self-conscious to go to a gym, exercise at home. Or go for a walk in baggy clothes.
3. Ignoring your IBS is *not* the same as hypnotherapy. I would forget my IBS, but it would always come back and remind me no matter my diet. Now that I've done the hypno CDs, I haven't had that happen. I have had times where I felt borderline, but then I just did a few days of hypno sessions and was back to the regular, relaxed, not-so-bloated state that I'm glad to call my new normal.

Yes, I DO know what the bloating is like!! My tummy can bloat up to 6-8 inches in a very short amount of time! I have "good belly day" clothes and "bad belly day clothes." I get so bloated that underwear hurt! I get so bloated that I can't wear a bra because the pressure is too much! Yes, a lot of us get this, it is part of IBS and although some people CAN control there's, not everyone can!
I've struggled with this since I was 15, I'm 34 now! I've seen more so called specialist that I can remember! Sometimes there just isn't an answer! Sometimes there just isn't any explanation!
