Welcome Wendy! *hugs*
You seem like such a sincere, genuine person and I am so sorry you are suffering so *hugs*
I'd like to suggest a food diary. Some days I can eat certain things and some days not. For ex. I just had a banana on an empty tummy and I went too long without eating and it gave me heartburn. This is because I was too hungry for too long and I ate too fast....NOT because I can't eat bananas. there ARE flks that cannot tolerate bananas. Then there are folks that live by em'.
It's sooooo frustrating when you are just starting out. You have no idea what is safe for YOU...
Keep posting. You WILL figure it out. I know...it's rough right now. But you're gonna get better....and we're all praying for you.
Hang in there...lots of love, Ruchie

You might want to change your cereal. Low sugar FF corn flakes are not acceptable for IBS. You can eat Kix, Rice or Corn Chex, Cheerios, but not corn flakes. Also, saltines are not good per Heather's recommendations. Try graham crackers instead. Also, I'm not sure, but mushrooms may be a IBS trigger.
I've had IBS for about a year now and I'm C. I finally feel like I've stabilized, but I still have my bad days. Just keep a careful eye on what you eat and how it reacts to your body, while making sure you follow the diet to a tee. It's not easy since some things that Heather says are good for you, may not agree with you. If that's the case, cross that off your list and try something else on her list.
Good luck!!
Carol

I know everyone tolerates different things. I was just going by Heather's lists below. I'm definetly going to try what you said about crossing things off and trying others. It's hard at first because you don't know what is triggering you, and maybe nothing is if it's been severe for a long time. I appreciate your comments and eveyone elses. You all are the BEST!
