girl i think your speaking for all of us!lol..you would not belive how much sweets i ate today!!omg!!i ate 3 angel filled cream cakes with like goobes of icing,and a brownie.!tooo much!now my head hurts and i feel like crap.i never relley get any sleep maybe thats why im always so sick.does anyone else have sleeping problems?i know i wake up 4 or 5 times a night in pain or wanting to go pee.ah

wow ruchie what a great thread!
Anything I could add would just be a repetition of what others have said BUT I just want to say that lately my IBS has been really good and I attribute it to two main things for me:
1. Exercise, exercise, exercise (and drinking lots of wate, getting lots of PROTEIN, and eating more often to go along wtih that)
2. NOT LETTING IBS RUN MY LIFE!
The last point is kind of like a huge revelation for me lately. I think this is something emphasized with the hypno tapes (? I've never done them) but this has helped me so much. The exercise started making me feel better such that I could forget about it for a bit - and then I don't know, I just made the decision to stop let it running my life. I know it sounds a little flitty and airy and such but I'm happy
And the number one thing that hurts? That time o' the month - no matter how well I'm doing, the MINUTE I start bleeding on the first day of my period, welcome D (ugh). That usually lasts a few days and then it subsides, but still! Not something I want to have to deal with every month

HELPS: Metamucil- more in helping me better tolerate a variety of foods, helps me go a little Colace Fiber Choice?- recently started it and not whether it's helping, it's certainly not hurting though Apples- with the peel, they help me go! Loosly following Heather's diet- since I'm able to eat more foods now I don't have as much trouble ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)
HURTS: Chinese food- but I eat it anyway ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif) Too much high fat foods- I can eat some and be ok, but too much and oowww! Candybar type of chocolate- I can have some fat, and I can have chocolate, but put the 2 together and ouch! Not being consistant with taking Metamucil Not taking Colace More then a little flaxseeds Eating oatmeal several days in a row More then a little whole grains Wearing pants that are higher cut and tight Various other fiber supplements
