Magnesium is good for IBS Cers as it helps you "go" and calcium is good for D. Vitmain C can also be a laxative. If you take these together keep watch and see how muh you take and how it effects your bowels. in the right quantities it can def help your bowels straighten themselves out!
Linz is right tho...I take mag malate for my fibro. ithout enough magnesium I'm DONE FOR

HELPS
Sticking to the diet / staying away from trigger foods Regular exercise at the gym Eating small quantities often Eating organic Getting enough sleep Staying away from medication A hectic career and personal life that don't leave much time to think about my IBS Not letting IBS run my life Not dwelling on negative thoughts Drinking room temperature bottled water Drinking peppermint tea Knowing I'm not alone with this affliction (i.e. checking out Heather's message board when time allows!)
HURTS
Straying from the diet / eating a trigger food An emotional shock such as an unpleasant surprise Getting lax on fitness Not eating on time / overeating Obsessing on something negative Dwelling on the fact I have IBS Lack of sleep Eating out (unless I bring my own food) Eating non-organic (conventional) food, especially poultry and veggies
