Just wondering....I've been having a lot of pain on my left side recently. My appt with the doc is not for another 3 weeks. Anyone know what it could be and how I can make it go away  ? Thanks!!!

hey! any pain on your left side is due to pressure from poos, spasms or gas in your transverse and descending colon - ie - its from your ibs - its the way the nervous system in the body is contsructed that you will feel bowel spasm etc pain in your left side - chest, fingers, head...you name it...hope you feel better (unless your GI is open minded he/she is unlikely to say that this pain is from your IBS - but trust me, it DEF is!)

Thanks. I had been wondering about this same problem for the last week and a half. I was going to call my doctor to see if I needed to come in or what she thought might be going on, but if it doesn't go away in the next few days or so, I might just follow up anyway.

It's right near what I thought was the bottom of my stomach and can travel down to the bottom. It's that we can actually feeel our poop going through us. Apparently that's not typical! Who knew?

this was my umber one complaint with my IBS left side pain and even right side once in awhile. Here is what I learned to do. I take three Gas x before lunch and three gas x before dinner, and two before bed. I'd say within three days of doing this it went away and RARELY ever bothers me now! Of course if I forget to take my Gas x it comes back! I learned this trick form Michele and asked my doc and she said it was fine to take that much daily and was realy happy that it was helping!
