I had been doing really well on the diet every day. Then it's 4 days before it starts and I'm more clogged up than ever. Do you change your diet at all in preparation for that? The bloating is already out of control. Do you up your SFS for this time only? Or up them in general so when this time hits, you're prepared? I'd greatly welcome your experience.
Thanks!

What dose of SFS are you on? I'd up my dose generally in that situation I think...and eat more carefully and drink more teas in the run to it.

Honey, I'm in the exact same boat as you right now! I'm ready to preform a self operation to take my intestines out I thought maybe it was all in my head, but now I know I'm not the only one who goes through this once a month. I get C really bad though for about 10 days before I start (I have to take a hormone pill every month the 1st-10th to have my cycle--screwed up from getting off birth control pills a year ago). Diet-wise, I've noticed this time to stay away from green veggies (green beans, brussel sprouts, asparagus) which I can usually eat. I also am eating a lot smaller portions (a lot of "energy/protein" bars) and downing water like no other. I was taking Metamucil twice a day, but I noticed it made me a little bloated whenever I took it. Well, that was fine until past 10 days! Bloating on top of more bloating screams "Stay in bed and hide under the covers!". So yesterday I tried some sugar-free (I can get away with eating sugar alcohols except Splenda) Citrucel. It seems to work so far and I'm taking three servings of a day (AM,afternoon, PM). It hasn't caused that bloating/"I think I'm going to blow up" feeling.....yet Hope this helped some. If you find some other fiber supplement (if you take one) that works better without the bloating please post! Good luck and just remember....only once a month (even though that thought sucks too ) BTW, does this bloating/PMS problems last through-out your cycle or just before? Good luck and hang in there!
