How many of you have or it is a possibily, a rectocele?
All the pressure going on in the area can cause a rectocele to develop. Especially if you are constipated. My case is loose stools and going too often in one day puts a lot of pressure here. Sometimes when you can't go, it may not be constipation as the stool is trapped in the rectocele (my case)

Having surgery soon to correct this prolapse and may help the IBS says the doctor.

How did you get diagnosed with this problem?
I never heard of it.
Just wondering.

A rectocele is a bulge from rectum into the vagina. It can be so severe that some can see the bulge into the opening of vagina. I had surgery a year ago for other prolapses, but this one emerged later. Do have IBS, so bowel movements became a problem. Went to my urogynecologist for yearly check-up and cystoscopy for bladder and he found the rectocele after listening to my complaints. This is the second one I have had in six years, so I knew what it was when starting to feel the pressure before a bowel movement and on the flare days of having to go 3 or more times a day. And I have had IBS for over 15 years. That was confirmed after seeing a gastroenterologist and having a colonoscopy.
Not to take away from the IBS subject of this site, I just wanted to let people to know about this and check it out if they are having this pressure problem.
