Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of fiber dietary fiber is? For instance I got a frozen tofu lazagna and it has 6 grams of dietary fiber. Is that Soluble or Insoluble fiber? Packages very rarily break it down for you, so how are we supposed to know if it is high in Soluble or Insoluble? Thank you to anyone who can help me. Barb

Umm..you can't! Quite often it's IF (especially if it's marketed as a "healthy" high fibre food) but there's no standard as to what kind of fibre it has to be!

I just look at the ingredient...anything whole grain will be high in IF, as is brown rice...and lots of veggies. I'd imagine with that lasagna that it'll just depend on what veggies are in there and how many...you could always pick the crunchier (ie. less safe) veggies out and leave them.
