How weird is that? But I can't have peppermint. Never mind!

Hey...I just noticed that you can't have mint either. May I ask why?

I'm terribly allergic--If someone else in the room is chewing mint gum/ just brushed their teeth with mint toothpaste, etc. I can have a huge reaction. My mouth burns and I get the kind of nauseas migraine.

I'm just asking because I notice last night that the Gas-X I just bought has peppermint oil in it. Have you had any problems with Gas-X?

That seems expensive. And to think they are supposedly made there!

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Has anyone tried the Imagine California Miso soup? It's pretty good with some SF, i.e. rice, noodles, sushi and any small amount of tolerable veggies.

People with GERDs (like Nik and I) can't have peppermint as it's a trigger for that...it's a shame as it's so good for IBS.

I have a slight issue with my GERDs and Deflatine (which is like Gas-X)...and if you're actually allergic, I'd stay away!

Girls!!
Marks and Spencer "Curiously strong mints" in a dark green tin box ARE altoids, I have a box of altoids from the US and a box of these in my drawer at work and they are absolutely identical, call off the search and just go to M&S, they are probably cheaper too!
