I have been on lexapro for exactly one week (5mg) and should be upping my dosage today to 10mg. Any hoo one of the side effects I am having is a numbness on the left side of my face in the cheek area and above the left corner of the mouth. It usually disappears by the afternoon but today it seems to have stuck around. It's a little annoying and I am hoping it will just go away with time. Obviously if noone else has had this issue maybe I should worry...

Did anyone else experience this?

Thanks in advance

That sounds like a serious side effect. If it were nausea or dry mouth, then I would wait to mention it - but this sounds way more serious than that. Definately call your doctor and hopefully he'll be able to tell you whether it is serious or not.

I've been on lexapro for a while, and I've never had a side effect like that. I would double-check with your doctor, for sure.

I have been taking Lexapro for about 6 mo, and have not experienced anything like this.

You need to know what is causing this, be it Lexapro or not.
