Pages: 1 antibiotics and IBS????       #158010 - 03/07/05 07:07 PM Edit Reply Quote 9804 Reged: 01/05/05 Posts: 217 After having a week of migraines and aches and pains, I am now taking an antibiotic for a sinus infection. (Zithromax) I am taking 2 enzymes each meal along with 2 probiotics too. I have also just started acacia today (1/4 tsp 2 times daily for starters). Do I need to worry about all of this and my antibiotic? Please advise - I learn so much in these sites! Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator     Re: antibiotics and IBS????       #158077 - 03/08/05 01:20 AM Edit Reply Quote Linz Reged: 09/01/03 Posts: 8242 Loc: England Well the antibiotics will kill the probtiotics if you take them at the same time so try and space the doses...eg. if you take the antibiotic in the morning, take the probiotic in the evening or if you take the antibiotic at breakfast and dinner, take the probiotic at lunch and just before bedtime.
