Ok, since being diagnosed with IBS I've found that my triggers are fatty or really rich foods. My concern is that over the past month a real nagging pain has started under my right rib cage, haven't pulled a muscle or anything, can't feel anything when I touch it but its extremely tender-any clues or like wise experiences???

I've had it constantly since my colonoscopy/gastroscopy last week but used to find I got it mostly after a really bad attack. My attacks cause really bad pain under the ribs and it can be tender for weeks afterwards. Hope this helps. Maybe get your doc to check it out just in case though.

Are you still having BMs? If yes, that means there's no blockage. It could be anything from trapped gas (depending on how long this has been going on) to your gallbladder. Your doc can do an ultrasound to check your gallbladder.

Keep us posted!

I've been dealing with something similar for the last week or so, but mine is more to the center of my chest (below my sternum). A doctor wasn't sure what it was, but thinks it might be related to the IBS. No advice, per se. Are you having gas? That might relate to it.

Thanks for replying so quickly!!! No probs with gas and haven't had an attack for 3 weeks, when I do its D. Never had this before, but as I said its really tender to touch. Think I will try to see a doc today just to get it checked out.

Good idea! And make sure the doc knows about the IBS.
