Does anyone else take imodium regularly? It seems to be the only thing that reduces my number of trips to the bathroom.

HI, I wanted to tell you that I took imodium daily for over 2 years. My Doctor is an Ibs specialist and said that it was ok. I do not do it now because I take lotronex. My doctor feels that imodium is safe enough to be taken even during pregnancy if needed.

I take immodium advance because it causes less pain than the regular one and instead of taking 2 which I find constipates me I only take one. That way I can go again the next day and it also stops the D.

I have been taking immodium daily now for about 4 and a half years since I was 15. I take it up to 10 times a day!! I know!! Before your mouth hits the computer desk though....its not a 10 a day thing....thats only on the really really bad times....which are becoming few and far between the better hold I am getting on this damn problem! The diet has helped with this so much so has controlling my stress levels! I take 2 immodium first thing and then 1 or 2 after each time I go the toilet....it depends on how bad the d was as to whether I take 1 or 2....I find 2 stops things quicker though which is good. I know there are so many people on here that can only take half an immodium otherwise theyre backed up for days(excuse the expression) but the most Ive taken in a day is 12 and I still needed the toilet the next day even though it wasnt d!! Me and Nelly are the queens of immodium! Ive never had side effects from it and Ive been told I can technically take it for the rest of my life....though I rather not.....it is for me the biggest lifesaver there is!!!
