I've been on the diet now for about 1 1/2 months and am feeling pretty good. I haven't had any dairy in that time and am wondering when or if I should try adding in cheese. I'm not overly missing cheese, but it would be nice to prepare recipes for my family that include cheese without having to make a separate meal for me. I made mini pizzas last week with soy mozzarella on mine, but it was rather "rubbery"! FYI - I'm IBS-D. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Just try it and see how you feel. I personally don't have too many problems with good cheese, as long as it is not overly processed. Good luck!

Perhaps try lower fat cheeses like lowfat mozzarrella (sp?). It will still have the dairy trigger but will be less fat to contend with, and with a good soluble fiber base like pizza you may be ok...

Good ideas - both of them! I'll stay away from the processed cheese & stick to low fat - and take it slowly! I'll keep you posted. Thanks

I'm lactose intolerant and IBS-D, so when I decide to have any dairy or cheese(which only eat on pizza) I take lactaid chewable tablets. These seem to help.
