Hi guys,
I just wanted to share this 'cause I get so much pleasure out of it and figure maybe you can too!
I used to get sooooo sick of chicken 'cause I was eating it so much, but when we moved back to Canada my mom has this WICKED pan.. I think it's called a 'grill pan'. It's a really heavy, metal pan with ridges in it so when you cook stuff on it it tastes like it has been grilled. I just looooove cooking with it now 'cause I can just marinade chicken in pretty much anything, and then "grill" it and it just tastes so yummy!!
Here is a picture I took of ours:

Just wanted to share!!
*hugs*

Hi - these are called griddles and they are great aren't they! You can effectively fry food without getting any of the fat!!

It looks like a cast iron skillet with a teflon coating.

I am so sick of chicken, but, if I tried this, I might like it again. Thanks for taking the time to send this message and picture!

How ya doin' honey?

Hi Gayla,
Yeah, I was getting so tired of the chicken we used to eat for so many meals in the UK and this pan is just awesome. I think it makes it a lot more flavourful. I saw one at IKEA, but it was sort of thin and not that heavy, whereas the one my mom has is _really_ heavy and thick.. dunno if that makes a difference or not!

I am doing alright, thanks for asking. I am at school, and without a job so money is kinda stressful.. and moving has been really difficult in some regards; A lot of things came out of the walls that I didn't expect in my relationship with Adrian but we are adjusting... Tummy hasn't held up perfectly, but it's done alright. Today was a bad tummy day 'cause I was up all night stressed about a talk with Adrian and then I had an exam today, but now that today is almost over I am settling down again.
How are things with you? How have you been feeling lately?
Nice to hear from you again!
*hugs*

Glad to hear you are working at making it work, if that makes any sense. I am doing pretty good, gaining weight, taking care of 3 little boys, my son is getting a divorce, and it is just very hard. There is so much pain involved. I have been sick too, but working at getting better, and when that happens, I am going to have to get out and walk, my summer capris do not want to zip up. Thats bad. very bad.

Hugs to you too honey !!!

Stephie,

Yes, we have one too and it's fabulous for chicken! Andy also uses it to grill tuna steaks.

Gayla, hi from me too!!
