Ever since the D attack I had a couple weeks ago I've been having SERIOUS problems with C.

I've increaed my SF by almost 2 tablespoons in 2 weeks and nothing!!! I'm drinking ALOT of water and exercising every single day.

I've been eating a lot of insoluble fibre hoping that it will cause some kind of movement but nothing is happening!!

I do not want to take a laxative....I am sooooo against laxatives. Do you guys know any other remedies for C that I could try??

Thanks!!

Try a stool softener! It's different then a laxative, in that it doesn't force your body to go. It just help soften your poop so that you can go better. They're safe to take daily too(I'm not just saying this, doctors agree), I take 2 every morning. Look for Colace, but make sure it's not Peri-Colace(that one has a laxative added in). And because it's not a laxative it doesn't cause cramps.

Thanks so much!! I will definitely try it out!!

What about milk of magnesia? My mom is always telling me I should take it but I don't know if it's gentle enough. Is it a laxative?

I can't stand the mild of mag. I only take it when I am desparate and then I get really bad cramps with it. I did just purchase the milk of mag. in tablets also using a really good fiber supplement.
