How bad are pancakes when you go to a restaurant? I do not like eggs and thought if I ate 2 pancakes???

Please advise - thanks!

What? What did you think?

Restaurant pancakes will be made with milk and butter as well as eggs btw.

I cannot recall a time that I have *not* gotten terribly ill from eating pancakes at a restaurant. They are generally drenched in butter and made with real butter and whole milk. I'd stay away for sure....

I don't know if this is really safe, but I always seem to be fine with waffles. Since they're made in the waffle iron they aren't drenched in butter like pancakes, and the amount of milk in them has never bothered me. Although if you wanted to be totally safe toast might be the answer.

Usually restaurants will make egg white omelettes. I can always manage to get an egg white mushroom omelette wherever I go

Pancakes are a no go unless you make them at home on your own using all the correct substitutes (like soy milk, etc.)

I would imagine waffles would be better - I know syrup has HFCS - I should probably eat sugar free?

Thanks for your input!

No, sugar free is actually NOT a good thing! Products that are sugar free are almost always sweetened with artificial sweeteners (e.g. aspartame), which are very tough to digest. Real maple syrup shouldn't have any HFCS, since it's all maple! I've found it to be completely safe.
