If you feel like there's something more than IBS wrong with you demand more tests! (as unpleasant as they are). I feel like there's something more than IBS with me and maybe I'm wrong but I'm going to have every test possible first to rule out absolutely everything and if it all comes back negative well I guess I'm wrong. I hope you are doing okay and that some of the pain you have isn't too bad. If I could wave a wand and make you well believe me I would. I feel so badly for you. I read another post of yours and you're just like me. The cinema absolutely scares the life out of me. I just can't sit still long enough through a movie and if I do when it's over I feel so sick from pain I can hardly walk out of there but I'm just too scared to risk going in in the first place. Makes life pretty miserable and terribly boring at times. I wish we could just be normal. Big hugs. Let us know what happens.

I called my OB, whom I really like and he referred me to a GP and a GI. The GP is not covered by my type of insurance and the GI can't get me in until August 23rd!

The other GI he recommended won't see me unless I have a referal from a GP, so I'm stuck. I need a good doctor NOW!! This is so frustrating to feel like there is noone out there to help me find out what's wrong with me. I'm scared and noone will help or I can't find the doctor who will help.

How can you find a good doctor by turning to the yellow pages? You can't!

I wish you had that magic wand! I know you would use it for all of us! You're always supporting me and invested in my health. It means a lot to me that you care to try and help.

If you read my post to Ruchie, you'll see why I'm not able to get the tests done. I have no doctor and don't know how to find one.

I don't need much from life. I don't need to be rich or beautiful or a genius or have a great job. I'd clean toilets for a living if it meant I could just have no pain and a normally functioning GI system. I would do anything, give up anything for that. It's a cliche, but it true that you can never be happy if you don't have your health.

I did have some tests done about 3 years ago and they all came back normal. But my symptoms have changed and new ones (like the edema and leaking urine) are new, so I think some additional tests are in order.

I found mine in the yellow pages. Seriously. It just so happens that he's my local doctor. It takes time and can get expensive (but we have medicare which makes it a bit easier i guess) but you just have to go see a doctor and hope that they're sympathetic and will do what needs to be done. If I could send my doctor to you in the mail I would but I don't think he'd appreciate that very much. I've gone through countless GP's and 4 specialists trying to find the right one for me. I know it feels like you don't have time when you feel this crummy but unless you have someone nearby who can recommend a good doctor to you you kinda just have to see them all. Or you could try calling your local hospital and asking if they know of any GP's that are really good specifically in treating tummy problems. I found out some of mine that way. Big hugs. I know it sux.
