I'm curious to know if any IBSers use vitamins all the time and which brands work well for you. My friend has used the vitamins---like One a Day or Centrum (not sure of the brand), and has had bad results with them. She now uses a multivitamin from the Natural Foods store (a liquid one) and has raved about it. Anyway, please respond if you have had either bad or good experiences with certain ones. I appreciate all your help!

I have tried the mainstream multivitamins like the ones you mention (Centrum) and have had NO luck. Even when taking one after a full meal, I always ended up with D, so I gave up and don't take any now, though I know I should be. I would love to hear what brands (and where to find them) work for IBS-D.

I had been taking One a Day for Women, but I stopped when I started following Eating for IBS, because I was trying to get stable. Then, when I tried adding it back it, I got so nauseous! I tried it back again with just half a pill after meals, and that went okay, so after about 1-2 weeks, I went back to whole, and I've been fine ever since.
