I happened to weigh myself this morning and I was so sad when I hadn't lost any weigh with all my hard work this past week.
BUT I had an unexpected BM (yay!) and my bloating was way down. So I decided to weigh myself. This was after having eaten btw...
I had gone down 2 whole pounds!
I am beginning to wonder what I have in there that needs to come and out....so gross!
At least I know why I'm not losing weight. And it seems the benefiber is starting to work finally (I just ordered the Acacia though...can't wait to try it!) Hopefully I will continue to get rid of all the yucky junk inside and feel better and look trimmer
Anyone else lose weight with their BM's?
Sorry so gross!

hey, you might be able to help me with my predicament! I've just posted about me being bloated and need a really good BM....what's your secret?! What food did you eat before you went?? (waiting in hope and anticipation for your reply!) Nik x

I had 1.5 cup puffed millet and an apple with the peel.
It might have been what I ate yesterday or the fact that I upped my SFS.
Yesterday I had:
1 potato 2 apples 2.5 cups white rice .75 cups tomato sauce .25 cups lentils .75 cups brown rice 2oz. sardines 5 almonds 2 cups tomato soup
I doubt this helps...but just in case.
Good luck and I hope you get that BM soon! *hugs*

Great stuff! Thank you, I think I'm just packing lots of stuff in without any portion control whatsoever - it feels very still and stuffed up in there (if you know what I mean!) Thanks again.. xx

Nik,
You think portion control might have helped me go? Interesting! I know Heather stresses eating small meals slowly. Hmmm...I wonder? Thank YOU for bringing this up. Now I'll be sure to continue watching my portion. I was doing it for my weight...but I realize it's for my health and my IBS as well.
*hugs*
Thanks again!

Hmm, its a complicated syndrome isn't it!!! Its taken me ages to put 3lbs on, and since finding this site and sorting out what the "fibres" all mean, its been much easier, but pigging out really isn't good for an IBS sufferer!! Bless you all for your excellent ideas and guidance!! x

Before my attack on saturday I weighed 133...after my attack....127. I couldn't believe it!! I'm generally C though so there must have been tuns of stuff in there that wasn't coming out. As much as that attack sucked (really really really sucked!!!) I almost feel better knowing that I'm all emptied out now!! LOL

not all in one BM, but over the course of 24 hours.. and I still didn't feel empty.. but thats when the HUGE BM's stopped coming... and I had been mostly C with maybe 2 tiny BM's for over 2 weeks at that point!

I know exactly how you feel. You dread those attacks more than anything, but after it's all over, you kind of feel better being empty. It's so strange!

Ron White, a comedian from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, made a joke once that pertained to this subject. He commented, "Do you ever take a c**p so big that your pants fit better? I hope that happens to me tonight." I know that sounds pretty gross, but it's one of those jokes that a lot of people (especially on this site) can relate to.

Do you think that "stuff" gets BLOCKED in your intestines?? Can that be the cause of your C? And if so, are there cases that it gets stuck forever?? And how long can it be "stuck"?? Just curious.
