Ok I'm loosing my mind I feel. First I'm so nauses and constipated and bloated. I'm skinny but look pregnent and feel crampy. I think too many raw veggies and fruit I don't do well with right now. I seem ok with like wheat breads, oatmeal, certain proteins. Now I'm going to go buy some cold cereal. I heard they help with c and may be ok with the nausea. What kinds should I get? I know Heather recommends like corn chex I don't see how that helps with constipation with zero fiber.Thats what I don't get so many of her recomendations have no fiber except fruits and veggies which I think leave me bloated and pressure. Also do any of you track the amount of fiber in grams you get?Oh yeah and I'm trying to stick away from supplements because they don't help me at all. I'm trying to see if it helps with the nausea because I'm already on a lot of meds which I'm sure contributes but is a must right now. Thanks for any ideas.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear you are having a ruff time of things at the moment. I'm not sure I will be of much help to you, but i can sympathise a little bit with you. I am also a C and find it very hard to understand how some of these things can help us, I can appreciate how it would help a D. anyway, I find that the SF's doe help me i have approx 20ml per day, I have sachets that have ten mil in each or 3.5g I drink about 2-3 litrs of water per day and i know if i have not drunk enough cause then i am unable to go to the bathroom without being bloated and having stomach cramps. I find also to help me go i eat satsumas if i have about four of those within the day i end up being both for a couple of days after yes i do have some cramps but nothing compared to what i used to suffer. the veggies i stick to are carrot and swede mashed together and also butternut squash. i tend to eat a lot of chicken i tend to do indian meals with the chicken or chinese i just buy a sauce of my choice and make the meal. i tend to have this with either tortilla wraps or rice or even naan breads these are all safe.

I hope this helps in some way even if it's just to let you know that you are not alone and definately not crazy.

Like you said your other meds won't be helping, what i also found that helped in the begining was a tea that had senna and other herbs in it. you can buy it from a company called Dr Natura they are on the web but are based in Florida. the tea is a herbal tea taken before going to bed and the next morning you are able to go, they also sell their own SF but I found this was too strong for me.

Hope you are feeling better soon, take care.

Loads of hugs

Debs

I know your pain! I have the same thing and I am at the point of no return. I know I don't drink enough water, but when I do I feel really bloated and end of urinating alot. At least my kidneys are clean. I pretty much don't know what to eat anymore. I have thought that alot of fiber just makes it worse but that could be attributed to not drinking enough water. I am planning to see this alternative dr. in ny who specializes in this problem. I just purchased his book. You might want to read it. "Total Renewal, 7 key steps to resilience , vitality and long term health." By, Frank Lipman.Overall it is about reversing unhealthy habits and poor functioning that we have developed. It is a pretty interesting book and he also has a website, www.lipmanworld.com

If you re-read the notes on the diet, you'll see that alot of how to deal with C is to do with eating veggies/fruit SAFELY! And SF helps with both C and D.

Thanks for your ideas. I feel so confused with this. I feel like I want to try to get used to eating more fruits and veggies because I hope it will help with the bloating and regularity with time. I also feel like I retain a lot of water so that may help.I heard that about stress I do tend to worry and stress a lot. I tried some natural things but they don't work that well for me(reason I'm on a lot of meds).I have been under more stress lately which may have something to do with this. Thanks for the ideas. I should pay you guys instead of my therapist. I got more out of this then most of my sessions.I hope you guys feel better too.

sorry you are feeling so lousy. Just wanted you to know I am a C as well, and I cannot tolerate almost any fruits or veggies other than banana, mango, and some potatoe (although I'm beginning to think the potatoes are bloating me.) Have you tried doing soft foods like bananas. I think they are the single greatest stabilizer for me!

I would recommend Smart Start. Unlike Chex, etc. it contains some whole grains... but also has white flour so it's not risky like bran cereals. Sometimes I notice that it gets things moving after I eat it. Plus, it's super yummy!
