If that's even possible. A group of friends meet every month at this Mexican place and I hate to not attend.

Do they do grilled chicken? The Chilli's (nearest thing to Mexican we have) near here does low-fat grilled chicken which would be perfect. Otherwise, get a chicken fajita (checking with them that it's dairy free) and eat lots or tortillas and salsa. Remember that guacamole has cream in it! I didn't realise that for AGES!

True guac doesn't.. but at most restaurants it does... new

make your own- just salsa and mashed avocados.. yummy!

Bean or chicken burritos are normally safe if you can tollerate the beans... spanish rice if you cna tolerate the tomatos often used in it.. lots of choices, one of my favorite places to eat is mexican still..

I don't have a problem with Chicken Quesidillas. Just stay away from the chips and salsa!

I do just fine, but then again I eat at places traditional.. and order vegetarian (I don't have a problem with beans) or chicken and NEVER order cheese on things, or anything fried... and do fine.. I also make a lot of mexican at home too.. I grew up on mexican foods, mom is puerto-rican and made a lot of that genre of foods growing up..

I PERSONALLY do fine with white chicken or shrimp fajitas, eat with flour tortillas you can even add a little shredded lettuce and salsa to it... stay away from the "chips" and salsa as those babies are fried. Instead of refried beans and Mexican rice ask for black beans and white rice or "dirty rice" = already mixed together. Take some Beano before you eat... But above all else.... Don't over eat!! Good luck…let us know how you do.

If you are able to have beans, have some black beans, no cheese or sour cream with spanish rice. That's what I have. Or a vegetarian fajita! YUM!!!!!!!

Even before I realized I had IBS, I would eat Chicken Fajitas w/ flour tortias, no diary, no gauc. Never would have a problem.

you don't have a location in your post, so i don't know where you are from but I grew up in south texas, where the food is authentic mexican which is usually high in fat and oil and the tortillas are made from lard. There are a few places that will tell you if their tortillas are made with lard or not. Most places these days, do not have lard tortillas because they don't actually use homemade tortillas, they are usually store bought. So ask.

Also, I usually get grilled chicken fajitas, and ask for them to try to use not much oil. And when they bring me the chicken , if it still looks greasy I dab it with a napkin before I eat it.

I would also be wary of beans, even black beans, just in case they added fat or lard. Again ask them.

But non-lard tortillas and grilled chicken fajitas is usually okay. No condiments. Easy on the lettuce if you can handle it, and obviously no cheese.

But it really really depends on the restaurant, I know some Mexican food restauarants that are okay, and workable, and others that you could not pay me to eat anything at.
