I learned this the hard way! I was at 2 1/2 t x3 day with the Acacia and pretty stable. I think to myself, "Self, if there is so much good about fiber, why not go on to 3t x3 day to the max dose?" NOT GOOD!! Even increasing my water didn't offset the effect. I finally -after 2 weeks - dropped back to the 2 1/2 level and feel much better already! I'm proof that when you find your stable level - don't mess with it!

Acacia has made all the difference in the world for my IBS-C!! Thanks Heather!!

I can relate to this oh so well!!

I take Acacia as well, and increased my dosage slowly until I got up to 3 tbs. 3 x per day. This was not good, too much fiber.

I dwelled over the problem for a few days and decided to drop one tbs. When I returned to 2 tbs 2 x per day along with the fiber in my food, It was fantastic!!!

You are so right, More is Not better when it comes to fiber. I found my click was at 2 tbs 2 x daily and I am sticking to it.

What happened when you increased your fiber? (ie, what symptoms did you experience)?

I am trying to figure out what my maintainance dose is and wondering if I am taking too much or still not enough because I'm still not going regularly on 2 T of Acacia.

I began to get C again. Incomplete evacuation, small poops, bloating. I gave it a while thinking that my body was just adjusting, but after 2 weeks and no improvement, I dropped the dose down a bit. Hope this helps! Finding the right dose is crucial.

I've gone up to 2 T and I'm not going. I don't know if I overshot my dose or if I still need to keep increasing. This is so hard to tweak out.
