What do most IBS'ers find to be the best breads to say have a tuna sandwich on- Unseeded rye, fresh white?? Lookign for some eating guidance.

Hey Melissam,
I personally enjoy sourdough with my tuna because the tuna doesn't get the bread as soggy as with other breads. Plus sourdough is generally safe for IBSers.

Sourdough is good, French bread is good. Just make sure to read all the labels to make sure there isn't any dairy derivitives such as whey or casein snuck in there.

baguettes... homemade... any white bread without dairy (hard to find in the stores)

Also watch out for high frutose sugar...a lot of breads have that ingredient... Anne

Any kind of bread works for me (except maybe 100% whole wheat -- too much insoluble fiber). Heather usually recommends French bread because it's made without dairy, but if trace amounts of dairy in baked goods don't bother you then just use whatever you like! Bread is our friend!!
