Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great and "stable" Christmas. I went shopping to get some fiber supplements. In the books, Heather talks about taking something like Metamucil powder regularly and taking Fibercon tablets when needed (if she is out at a restaurant for example). I found "new" Metamucil capsules at the store. Do you think that they will provide the same benefits as a powder? And is it better to take both the acacia and the metamucil or is the acacia enough? I am new to all of this so any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks a million!

Capsules are convenient and will technically work the same way as a powder supplement, but be sure to check the fiber grams per pill. Most of those pills are 1/2 gram of fiber per pill, which means that when you work up to your full dosage, you'd be taking 24-30 of them A DAY. Yikes!

As for combining, just the acacia will be fine. It's not necessary or more beneficial in most cases to take more than one fiber supplement - one should do the trick.

Hope that helps a little!
