I took Levsin before lunch and Immodium Advanced before dinner, I ate the same thing I had last night, but fairly immediately after eating I got a bad bout of D. I'm so frustrated, I don't ever want to eat again!

I had lentil soup on brown rice. I've eaten this plenty of times with no bad effects. Arrgh!!! What can I do???

No help from me unfortunately but I sympathise whole heartedly. I'm going on 3 months with d at least twice a day sometimes more. I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I'm at the point where I'm too scared to eat anything too. I hope someone can help and that you start to feel better soon.

Does your doctor have any advice for you? Were you given the diagnosis of IBS?

I'm sorry you're suffering so too. It helps to know other folks are going through the same thing.

That happens to me, too. I'll eat something and THINK it's safe, but for some reason, I get sick from it.
Have you tried Heather's diet?
One thing I would advise is that you eat mostly soluble fiber (white rice, white bread, applesauce, bananas) until you reach stablilty. It might not sound fun to only eat bland foods. You probably could add things like chicken or fish or turkey as long as they were baked and didn't have a lot of fat or oil in them. If you can tolerate peppermint (some people can't but Heather swears by it), things like Altoids and peppermint tea can be helpful.
I Hope this helps.
