Dear Hearts;
I did it again-I let myself get too hungry by not eating most of the day and had a huge chicken and mushroom sandwich.My gut has been spasming all night-no diaherra,fortunately.Does this mean I have to go on the damn "sick" diet AGAIN for 3 days or should it be fine by tomorrow and I just have to exercise better portion control?I can't BEAR the thought of only corn chex and toast for 3-4 days before Christmas.........

I find when I do something retarded, if I just eat sensibly afterwards I'm usually okay. I wouldn't go on the can't-eat-anything diet unless I was really bung for a few days straight.

Just do what you think will work best though. It's all trial and error, and things are different for everyone. What works for other people may not work for you, and vice versa.

Is Equalactin mostly for the D people?

I have pretty severe constipation and have been using Equalactin. Is this contributing to the problem or at the very least, not helping it? Should I stop taking this altogether?

What do most IBS-C people use or find most helpful?

Thanks

I have heard only Ders mention it, I use it every so often, I am A.
It seems to work for me when I am Cish, but I don't get C very bad. They advertise on the packaging that it is for C and D. if it seems to work, I would keep using it, it is only a soluble fiber supplement, it can't hurt you any!

It does contain the calcium in it so that may be why it is better for D. I am just so C right now that I am trying to find the culprit(S).

Problem is, I don't know if it is doing anything, as my C is bad! I just remember in the past that people had raved about this SFS but I don't know, maybe it was the D people raving! Hard to keep track of whose A,D,or C!

Any advice on which SFS is best for C or even A folk?

Equalactin, as well as all SFS, are for both C and D. Have you tried safely incorporating more INsoluble into your diet? That may help your C.

I'm trying to get in more solubles, but I seem to like solubles better! I love carrots, squash,mushrooms, and papaya, which are all soluble! I'll try harder though. Thanks. I also need to do some stretches as I find myself sitting in fetal position (with my heating pad on my belly)or like a pretzel most of the time. It's comfortable! But probably better to stretch out more
