Hello all! My mom has IBS-D and this is our first Thanksgiving with the new diet. Since I do all the cooking, I need to know if making homemade cranberry sauce is safe for her to eat. It's made with the whole cranberries you get in the fresh fruit dept, sugar, and water. What about the cranberries that come in a can? No, because of the high fructose corn syrup? Any input would be appreciated!

The homemade cranberry sauce sounds just fine - assuming she's not going to eat it by the bowlful on an empty tummy!

Check the labels for the canned stuff - you might be able to find one without HFCS.
