Im going to have a uterus ultrasound on friday. My mom said that its really terrible because they make you drink alot of water and dont let you go to the bathroom. She terrified me, because she said she was crying because she had to pee so bad. Is it really all that bad? And good/bad expiriences you'd like to share?

Oh good grief it's not that bad.  I mean, yeah, the first thing I did was hop off the table and go PEE but it's not that bad!! You'll be fine. Your mom should not freak you out like that!

Angela you will be fine. Yeah your bladder is full and you want to pee, but with all three babies the tech let me pee durning the exam. I'd rather have an ultrasound over a scope or C-scan anyday.

Nope...not that bad. Yes, you will want to go to the bathroom, but just take some deep breaths, concentrate on something OTHER than having to go to the bathroom...and it will be over before you know it!

I never drink all the water they tell you to. You're small like me, so I would decrease the amount some. Yes, it's a little uncomfortable, but by no means horrible. Just distract yourself and you will be done and off to pee in notime.

When I had my ultra sound for my son, they said my bladder was TOO full and I had to go to the bathroom and pee a bit but not empty it completely! Can you imagine? It's ok though, it's generally a pain free experience

Hey everyone-
Just wanted to let ya'll know that Ive got that ultrasound thing over with today. THe water thing wasnt too bad, I mean sure I had to go, but not like super bad- like my mom predicted. Anyway, the main thing my gyn is looking for is ovarian cysts. I will get the results on that tomorrow (saturday) and the results to my colonoscopy tuesday. I'll update u when the gyno calls.
