If I do fine with Citrucel (1 Tbsp daily) would there be anything beneficial by switching to acacia? I bought some the other day and tried 1 tsp before breakfast than another tsp before my snack and it set off an attack about 30 minutes later. By later in the day I was completely fine but I wonder if it's really necessary for me to switch. My bm's are fine I just have gas and pain as my main symptoms. I hope someone can respond soon so I know what I should take tomorrow.

All SFS's work the same way in the digestive system, so unless your current SFS is causing you some kind of problem, there's no reason to switch.

Example: when I tried Citrucel, it gave me D, gas, and cramping, even at a tiny dose. That's definitely a good reason to try a different SFS.
