I am having a tough time finding good bread for toast that doesn't have HFCS. I used to love autumn grain bread but it is wheat and has HFCS. So now I buy sourdough cottage bread which is just cheapish white bread but it wasn't there this week and it isn't that great anyway. I buy bakery sourdough or ciabatta for sandwiches and I buy baguettes or rolls for dinner but I can't find a good soft kind of bread for basic morning toast and I like to have toast with oatmeal sometimes. Any suggestions?

if you have a panera- they sell their breads.. and the last hour its half price for anything left... and they make some wonderful SAFE breads.. check with the staff- they have a book of ingredients behind the counter and they have a few really good sandwich breads!

I am having the same problem as you are. The only loaf bread I found without HFCS is Rainbo Big Loaf. It has to be the Big loaf cause the other Rainbo has HFCS. That's what I use for my toast. I have found that even the fresh baked french loaves at Walmart have HFCS.

I knew that had dairy free and that they actually seperate dairy enough for my cousin to be able to eat there, so I thought I'd try it and they have a lot of breads and NONE that I saw used HFCS.. it was an eye opener! I am not baking bread weekly anymore...
