I apologize if this is not the proper forum for this question., but I did not know where else to go. Does anyone know about how 'safe' or 'unsafe' any supplement containing calcium caseinate may be for IBS sufferers? I looked in the IBS research library but could not find any articles on it.

Hello Sela and welcome! I'm glad you found us, as everyone here is extremely understanding, informative, and compassionate. Some of our trigger foods seem to vary from each other's, it's all trial and error. I hate that, but there's just no way around it. A lot of people here are sensitive to anything with casiene, as it is found in all dairy. My system seems to be fine with small amounts of milk and yogurt, cheese makes me gassy, but I don't think I've ever tried a supplement containing this. What brand are you speaking of? If this is an IBS trigger for you, you should consider replacing all dairy products with soy/rice. Again, glad you found us. Ask us anything and feel free to vent; I do often. Good luck! Steph

Thanks Stephanie. I'll try it slowly and see how it affects me.
