I just got a 30 day supply of generic Xanax from my doctor. I plan on taking it before I walk down the isle and say "I DO", I know I'll be a nervous mess . So, I figured I would pop one them right before.
I have taken it before and it has never bothered me. But I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with this?

Hi,
I have taken Xanax .25 for panic attacks. It really does relax me. Be careful, though, you don't want to be too relaxed and not be able to walk down the aisle. If you have taken it before and know how you react it should be OK. I prefer to take it at bedtime and not when I have any heavy duty thinking to do cause it does make me kinda fuzzy. Also, it can be addictive if taken too often.
Good luck Barbie

I also have a prescription to take it as needed. As Barbie mentioned, be sure you know how your going to react to it before popping it just before your wedding! It really makes some people very sleepy and spacey. It helps my tummy by keeping me calm, but it can be addictive if taken to regulary for too long!

Oh goodness, I wouldn't take it on such an important day because it can knock you out ----or make you feel all spaced out! PLEASE, PLEASE make sure you have the dosage down before taking it on this special day. (I'd have a trial run, if I were you, like take it one day soon to see how it affects you.)

yup-Xanax is a great med for any day that is stressful-i take it all the time in my job which is "meeting deadlines" kind of job...I recommend it highly-in fact, as a suggestion, perhaps on your wedding day, Doc will give you a Tylenot w/codeine tablet so your system can shut down for a day and you can enjoy it without worrying about bathroomitis! Meds are good when we use them wisely and appropriately....by the way, congrats on your up coming wedding!

I already have had a few trial runs. I didn't get drowsy or anything whcih was good. I was just relaxed. I think, I'll be ok, I did get the .25 the lowest dosage. But, I am going to try it again a couple of more times. Thanks.

DON'T DRINK ANY ALCOHOL ON IT! Not even a little champagne! It causes projectile vomiting. Believe me, even a little codiene and a little alcohol don't mix!
Boy do I have the stories to back that one up!

.25 should be fine. I was afraid you'd pop a 1 mg. tablet---and he would have to drag you down the aisle!!!!
