Rice Dream Rice Milk????

Hello- I was wondering if anyone knows if you can bake with this milk??? I have a recipe for Chocolate (I can tolerate small amounts) Chip Scones that requires 4 oz of milk. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! ~Beth

Oh, absolutley!!! I use it ALL the time!! You can use it in place of milk in just about anything!!!!

Do you use original or vanilla flavored? This is all so new to me...I've only been on Heather's diet for a month and a half, and just started buying the Rice Dream milk. Thank you! ~Beth

It's all personal preference. However, I personally use plain. Although, if you go into the recipe index and look up some of the desserts, some call for plain, some, vanilla. Vanilla is a bit sweeter.

not Becky- but I bake with it too- and for sweet desserts that vanilla won't taste bad with I use vanilla- otherwise I use original... the vanilla has a bit more sugar in it and of course the vanilla flavor.. so basically I make the call based on what the item I'm cooking is.. but I definitely cook with it and it does thicken in boiling too- I make puddings from scratch with it!
