I read your message and can truly relate. I thought my social life was over before I found this web site and read Heather's books. The IBS diet is totally foreign to the way I have been eating and suffering all of my life. I am obese and have been on every diet known to man/woman, all of which completely go against the IBS diet. So naturally they all made me sicker. So I am hoping this diet will change my life. I am going to focus on feeling better rather than losing weight and see what happens. It is so nice to have people who understand to correspond with. Good luck to you.

Funny you mention a convention for all of us. I had thought of the same thing. Suzanne Somers put together a cruise last year for her Somercisers. Sounds like a great idea!
