Olive oil is alright but just make sure you don't use too much of it cuz it has a high fat content.
Try sprinkling some garlic powder on it as well to add some flavour!!

Do tomatoes bother you? If not, marinara sauce is a fine option so long as it's not full of oil. For me, just olive oil is too fatty for me as a pasta sauce.

Sometimes I put just the tiniest little bit of toasted sesame oil on plain pasta--it gives it nutty flavor and you don't have to use much at all. Mixing the pasta with some cooked vegetables and the sesame oil is tasty.

Hi, Crystal and welcome!! Yes, as everybody said, you can jazz up that plain pasta lots of ways. My personal fave is onion powder and oregano.
Glad you're giving the diet a try. Let us know how it goes, okay?!

I realize it's a little late for this to help you for lunch, but here's my advice: Pam makes an olive oil cooking spray that's fat free, it adds enough moisture to make the pasta edible and then you can use garlic, onion, salt, pepper, etc for flavor; as far as marinara sauce, some people can tolerate it, unfortunately I can't. When you get some free time, search the boards because I know this topic has come up before and there have been lots of helpful tips.
