I just started to make dinner and all of a sudden I am geting massaive Pains all through my stomach. I feel like I am being stabbed.It is doubleing me over. Is it the Antibiotics or what. I have been a good girl no cheating. I haven't had pain like this with the IBS. I took a Hyoscyamine sulfate (antispasmatic) pill about 1:00pm and then took my Antibiotic at 4:30Pm. Wholly Cow. i would take another Antispasmatic but they make me sleepy. HELP HELP SOS SOS. S.O.B

take the Hyoscyamine anyway! mom takes the stronger pills but only at night, I take the weaker ones as needed.. up to 2 every 4 hours.. but they don't make me too drowsy if I just take one at a time, its when I need the 2 at once that I get sleepy...

I just took one. They are such a low dose because she is trying to see if they make me nauses. It is only 0.125 mg. I will take another one soon If it doesn't help. I can't noe belive how bad this hurts. From now on I now what I have been having is not so bad. It is like contractions only in the upper part of my tummy and shooting down into the lower part. Just kill me now. They come and go right now I am in a go moment.

I wish there were something I could do for you. Have you taken a Bentyl today? The Hycosyamine did NOTHING for me and I have been in your shoes-- MANY MANY TIMES. All I can advise since you don't have any of what I've been taking at the moment is to drink HOT peppermint tea, use a hot pack on your stomach and try to keep yourself as calm as possible.
Remember, other attacks have passed and this one will as well. If you remember before you go to bed, make sure you take your SFS, it will help with how you feel tomorrow, regardless of how you feel right now.

Could you put ASAP on that complaint please 
I am back to just my sides hurting no more majior cramps. I hate this as I know we all do. It will get better. It has to, it just has to. My "cold" is better. I can't wait to be done with these antibiotics.

heather- hope by now you are asleep and feeling better. I had an upper stomach spasm attack last week that knocked me on the floor--I feel so badly for you..fresh ginger tea always helps calm my stomach-upper or lower--but I hope your meds worked for you, sweetie.

Hi, Heather! Oh, poor you! I know what it is to have that terrible pain, and then all this D! No sleeping, cuz you're running back and forth to the bathroom! I'm so glad you're feeling better. And thanks to all who responded to Heather's post, cuz it gave me some hints for when I'm in the middle of an attack, too! Heather, wish we could do more for you when that happens than sympathize, but I know we all do! Hugs.

those re the same ones I'm using... if 1 doesn't do it take 2.. she told me I could take 3, but I've only done that a few times, most of the time the spasms have reached a bearable level by 2 if not gone completely (in me) the pills mom takes are equivelant to 3 at a time.

Thanks so much for the wonderfull and sweet post. I did get some sleep and right now there is no pain. I am still in majior D mode. I can't wait for this to calm down.

Thanks so much. The meds did help, and I got a good night sleep last night.  I am having bad d right now because of the antibiotics, but only three more days of those then I am done.
