LS, I do the same thing...but with room temp water. I don't need a flavor to mask it since I drink it with the speed of lightning.
Just before going to sleep I put THREE teaspoons in a 12 oz glass of water...again stir with the speed of lightning and down it before I know what I've even done. It looks comical but it works. At times I've been distracted only to have it start turning to a gooey mess, in which case I've dumped it out and started again. I buy Konsyl...it mixes easier but it not cheap.
Then again you could fill your own capsules with a "Cap-M-Quik". I use that for making cinnamon caps.

It's a little machine (but no motor or anything you plug in) that you load with plain gelatin caps and then fill with whatever then put the gelatin lids on. See: web page
I got mine at the health food store for about $12.95 but you can order it online. I wanted the 000 size but they only had 00 size. You can buy a "tamper" too but I just used the end of a ball point pen. I could push 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon in one 00 cap.
Have you ever tried Walmarts brand of psyllium caps? (Equate Fiber Therapy, 100% psyllium, each cap .52g) I think they are the least expensive on the market. Hubby uses them when we travel but because I take so much I stick with the "lightening speed" method of consumption no matter where I go.
For me, psyllium is only taken at night (because of the bloat factor--and it is awesome for "C"). The rest of the time, before meals, Heather's acacia is my SFS of choice.
