Antibiotic problems

For a sinus infection, my allergist prescribed Avelox- a very powerful antibiotic...oy! am I sick....Nothing I do can get me back on track....any suggestions- and no- the probiotics aren't helping....I stopped taking the Rx. after two days...how long until my system is ok?

hey shana tova...I'm missing out on all the good foods sitting round the table with my family and eating my sad plate of rice...boo hoo...sorry to hear yours is ruined by antibiotics...
if they are making you that sick, and you are taking a high dosage of probiotics...I would resort to the what you eat when you can't eat anything for the duration of the symptoms to soothe your poor gut...so sorry for you. I finished a big course a month ago and by the end had water coming out of my bum and I am usually a c....sorry for the graphic description...but I am sure you understand.

You MUSTN'T stop a course of antibiotics before its over or it'll do nada.

Sorry you're having such a bad reaction. Keep up with the probiotics for a while after you're off the antibiotics. And sticking to the "What To Eat..." diet is a good plan. It can be hellish I know, but at least it's a temporary glitch and you know what's caused it.
