I just made zucchini bread for the first time since I have moved here from the states. I could not find canola oil, though. Any ideas what it would be called here or how they would say it in French? I just assumed it would have the same name. Any other oils that would work as a substitute?? Thanks for the help!

Well in the UK it's called corn oil, so maybe you can translate that? If you can't find it, just get another vegetable oil like sunflower. Olive oil will add it's own flavour to some things so I wouldn't use that.

I use sunflower oil, as recommended by someone else on the boards and it all works out fine.
