Here is a question that I thought of while reading some posts by others (ie Ruchie and Concrete Angel)...they both mentioned a lack of a menstrual cycle. I have the same problem. I am currently starting a natural supplement ( Evening Primrose Oil and Chaste Berry) to see if it will balance me out, BUT , I still wonder if there is a correlation between IBS and hormones? Does anyone know or have any further information on this? I will be anxious to see what you guys have to say...you are all SO SMART! Thanks!

My doctor recently checked my prolactin levels, because of nipple discharge a month ago. I haven't nursed a baby for five years, so you can imagine my suprise. My prolactin levels are elevated and now I have to chart my menstrual cycle for three months. I have normal peroids, but I mostly spot. My doctor explained when prolactin levels get high enough or high over a peroid of time you can stop having peroids. Hope this info. helps Barbara
