Hi everybody, I'm not too experienced with rice other tban white rice and Chinese fried rice. I've been watching for other alternatives to plain ole white rice and have found that Near East makes various rice mixes that are actually low in fat and taste good. If you prepare their rice boxes without the added oil and butter they look IBS safe to me. I have had the "Rice Pilaf - Original" and it is great. And no IBS symptoms afterward. I'm planning on trying the spanish rice next, prepared the same way, with water only.
Hope this helps expand your rice menu's.

I know you are looking for some variety, but as far as white rice goes, have you tried the Jasmine? OH, it smells delicious and has a great taste. I eat it almost every day and I haven't gotten tired of it at all, every day for over a year.
