Anti-gas foods? new

Has anyone found any foods that when combined with others tend to have an "anti-gas" type of reaction? I'm fighting an apparent tendency for tremendous amounts of gas to occur regardless of what I eat, and using chemistry helps the upper GI system, but not so much the lower.

Are there any naturally occuring foods that have the same effect?

Hi Jay - do a board search on gas and you should find what people have found most effective for them. I don't know any anti-gas foods other than the herbs like fennel and caraway (details are here web page ). Phazyme and Beano and Gas-X have worked really well for some folks. Do make sure you're avoiding carbonation and psyllium.

Thanks for the information. Its difficult when i have a BM and 80% of it is gas. The Rumble that everyone is familiar with tends to get me into situations where i run out the door to relieve pressure, and folks follow me to find out why i disappeared... Tends to be a bit embarassing.

I'll let you know how I do with the herbs and such
