I have certainly been made to feel like I'm not adequately providing for my daughter's nutrition and it's frustrating. I did have one dietician commend me for my choices, but doctors tend to be ignorant. They get all freaked out about whether you're getting enough of this vitamin or that nutrient, and fail to realize that I'm probably paying WAY more attention to a balanced diet than the average meat-eater. I just want to scream when I watch other moms talk about trying to get their toddlers to drink "cow milk" for their calcium. If they only knew what's really IN that milk, what that poor animal (and calf) went through to provide it for them, and what it's really doing in terms of calcium. Sometimes I wish I were just ignorant like everyone else....

You are SO smart to make yourself so informed!!! I just can't stomach that kind of reading. Good for you!
