Ginger-Peach Smoothie
2 canned peach halves (or a peeled fresh peach), chopped and frozen 1/2 cup strong ginger tea, chilled 1/2 cup soy or rice milk 1/2 tsp finely minced candied ginger (or more to taste)
Blend everything together and enjoy! Serves 1.
This was actually inspired by a smoothie recipe I found on cooking.com. I didn't have, well, pretty much ANY of the ingredients they called for, so I just made up my own... but I thought I'd include the original too:
Pear-Ginger Smoothie
1 ripe pear, peeled, cored & chopped 1/4 cup fresh carrot juice 1/4 cup skim milk (use soy or rice) 1/2 tsp finely grated fresh ginger 1/2 cup crushed ice
Blend everything together and enjoy! Serves 1.
