I have not been able to find any clinical trials that show Bacillus coagulans found in Digestive Advantage has any benefits for IBS. The only two that have had sizeble clinical trials are VSL#3 and Align. VSL#3 contains many probiotics while Align only contains one probiotic - bifidobacterium infantis. Align seems to have the best results. Both are quite expensive. I have tried Life Start by Natren which contains a different species of bifidobacterium infantis. It seemed to work fine. Also, someone recently posted a message saying they are trying a bifidobacterium infantis product from NSI. Both of these are much less expensive than Align.

I hope this helps. Good luck
