To answer a few of your questions, yes there seems to be a varying degree of how bad one's IBS is. The diagnosis of IBS is basically the doctors don't know what's wrong with you but they've rules out things such as Crohns, cancer, etc. Some people's IBS gives them D, others get C, and some get stuck with both (A). An attack of D can happen after eating a trigger food, or having a lot of stress. Some people get an attack of bloating, or constapation, or abdominal pain. The examples I listed are not limited. Attacks can last days, and they can be immediate or delayed...everyone's different. Dairy is a big trigger in people with IBS so it would be a good idea to cut it out of your diet. Yoga is good exercise and it helps you to de-stress.
