Check the write-up Marijuana and IBS in the August 2006 newsletter and the write-up Marijuana and the Gastrointestinal Tract in the June 2006 newsletter. There is quite a bit of clinical research and anecdotal evidence that marijuana can help relieve IBS symptoms, particularly abdominal pain. The THC or cannabinoid in marijuana are known to have an anti-inflammatory effect. Cannabinoids have similarly demonstrated the ability to block spinal, peripheral and gastrointestinal mechanisms that promote pain in headache, fibromyalgia, IBS and related disorders. The study referenced below concluded "Migraine, fibromyalgia, IBS and related conditions display common clinical, biochemical and pathophysiological patterns that suggest an underlying clinical endocannabinoid deficiency that may be suitably treated with cannabinoid medicines." A Google search will yield lots links.
However the newsletter write-ups don't answer your question. Marijuana or hemp seeds like most nuts and seeds contain a fairly high amount of IF. You might grind them up and sprinkle small amounts on your cereal. If you use only a small amount the oils will not be a problem. It should be noted that hemp seeds contain very little THC and the benefits described above will not realized.
