I did feel lightheaded after taking the pill (never more than an hour)and a bit dizzy so I avoided driving; however, I've noticed that side effect lessening in the past couple of days. Although it can take up to two or three weeks to start working, yesterday I started noticing that I was feeling less anxious. As a result I am experiencing less abdominal pain, less frequent need to urinate when nervous or in anxiety-inducing situations. So far, I haven't had any gastrointestinal upsets or D. I'm also making sure to strictly follow the IBS diet.
At first, I noticed that I had increased feelings of depression last week, which seem to be going away now. That may be a side effect of the Buspar. I did have a really bad panic attack a week ago, ending up in ER because I couldn't get it under control (lasted 7 hours, blood pressure significantly increased) with deep breathing or any of the other natural methods you can. That made me feel pretty down about myself for most of the week. I was given lorazepam in case I had any other panic attacks before the Buspar starts working and to help me sleep.
